Online Forums This is a great way to expose your website/blog to traffic. Using forums to make posts can draw readers directly to your website/blog. I will show you how to utilize the method increase your traffic to your blogs.
Participate in User Forums
Forums a.k.a. "message boards" can bring additional hits in a couple of different ways:
1) Many forum administrators will allow you to add a signature to all your posts. The more you participate, the more your website/blog link will be displayed throughout the forum pages.
2) Some forums are indexed by the search engines so if your site is found by the search engine spiders then it may help your rank in some of the search engines.
Try to participate in user forums that relate to the site you are promoting theme. If you are promoting a website/blog about knitting, then try to find forums that cater to arts and crafts, etc.
Post as many helpful messages as you can. If you build up a reputation as a forum member that people can go to for guidance, it will enhance your credibility and people maybe more inclined to visit your website/blog.
Step #1: Determine Which Topic Will Best Fit Your Website/Blog that You Are Going To Submit To Forums
Make many posts on various subjects that pertain to your Website/Blog you created.
Step #2: Promote Your Website/Blog On The Forums By Changing Your Signature
What is a Forum Signature?
Your signature is a piece of writing, banner, or HTML that appears every time that you make a post.
After you have registered with each of the forums you selected, you may set your signature. This is a piece of text that you would like to be inserted at the end of all your posts, a little like having headed note paper.
If the administrator has enabled signatures, then you will have the option to include your signature on any posts you make. If you have specified a signature, then the forum will automatically append your signature to any messages your post. You will be able to place your Website/Blog address URL in these signatures. You can set your signature by editing your profile.
This is why you will need to change your signature to include a description of what you are promoting, add any graphics to make your signature more attractive (if any), and add your Website/Blog Address URL.
Step #3: How to Post To These Forums
This will be important to know how to place your message to Forums. The first thing you need to know is try not to make it sound like an advertisement as you would do in emailing or classifieds.
As an example you might want to explain more about what you are promoting from a personal experience. Let's say you are posting for a knitting company, you might state something like this for your Tag line: "I found a great knitting site I would love to share"
and then you can type for the Message:
"I have been searching the internet for a great place to purchase my knitting supplies for over a month, and finally I found this site called Kits -R-Us, prices were 30% lower than everyone else on the internet."
You would then have your Website/Blog Address URL in your signature directing the reader to your knitting blog.
If any forum does not use Signatures in their forums then you can place your Website/Blog Address URL a few spaces below the main message.
Now that you have signed up in your selected forums and changed all of your signatures in your various forum accounts and are posting your messages. Remember, your success is determined by how much you put into it.
Step #4: Here Is A List Of Forums For You To Join
Now it is time to join the forums in the categories you are interested in. These are going to be the forums that you will make your posts and add your Affiliate URLs and/or Website/Blog Address URLs.
The best way to find forums in your category is to use the website Big-Boards.com. They have the biggest forum directory on the internet. You can select a category of your choice then select a particular forum to sign up from that point. All forums are Free to sign up.

TIP #1: Use your 2nd email account for your forum sign ups. This way you will not get forum emails to your personal email account.
TIP #2: Use the same username and password for every forum you join. It will make it easier to remember and you will not have to keep track of multiple usernames and passwords.

One of the easiest ways to find forums for any particular topic you are promoting is to go to Google,Yahoo or MSN and do a search for specific Forums and Message Boards. As an example if you are promoting a Website/Blog about dog training programs, you will go to Yahoo, Google & MSN and type a search for "Dog Forums" and a large list will be displayed for you to choose from.
